Ok guys, it’s been way too long since I posted. I’ve had a baby, had a phone crash, and before you know it we’re into a new year. So happy new year! One of my goals this year is to blog once a week. I know I’m already failing at that goal… so bad but one blog post in the month of January is better than none?
Life lately has been busy. No surprise with two kids under two years, right?
Rhett Benjamin will be two next week! Yikes, that snuck up on me. He is super into Frozen these days (mostly Olaf) and requests that we watch it daily and sing the songs. Gone are the days of me singing him sweet lullabies at night since he requests that I sing “ooh- ah” and “jingle bell hey” every night. Yes, we are still singing Christmas songs around here. Rhett is learning in so many ways how to obey and that mom and dad are in charge, not him. Sharing is super hard at this point, but we are working on that as well. He loves to drink his “wogger” and I love that he calls water by that name. He adores Brady, and I’m constantly telling him that he is giving him too much love.
Brady is the sweetest baby, but wants to be held all the time. He had a rough start to life with congestion and RSV and throwing up, but I think we are on the up and up now. Bless his little heart. He is a fantastic sleeper at night (knock on wood), and I am honestly shocked if he wakes me before 5:30. We call him angel baby for this reason. He looks absolutely nothing like Rhett and weighs 10 lbs less than Rhett which is substantially bigger than Rhett was at his age.
Bear is still a great big fur brother and tolerates Rhett stepping on him to get up to the couch and trying to sit on him. Love that pup! He is still the only baby that gets to sleep in mom & dad’s bed haha 🙂
That’s a snapshot of what is going on at the Beam household these days. I’m working on finishing Brady’s birth story to share later, but someone is awake and crying to be held.
